Bird watching
In the Fell Lapland, you are in the home territory of rock ptarmigans (Lagopus muta), golden plovers (Pluvialis apricaria), Eurasian dotterels (Charadrius morinellus), snow buntings (Plectrophenax nivalis), and long-tailed skuas (Stercorarius longicaudus).

Berry and mushroom picking
Healthy natural foods grow in the purest air in the world. You can stand up straight and pick blueberries (Vaccinium myrtillus) without bending down on the fell slopes, pick cloudberries (Rubus chamaemorus) in sloping fens while hiking, and compete with the reindeer for edible fungi.
Downhill skiing
Pallas-Yllästunturi has Finland's finest skiing terrains.

Paddling
The main traffic arteries of Fell Lapland, or the Torne as well as the Muonionjoki and Ounasjoki Rivers, are today enjoyed not only by fishers but also paddlers.
