Accessibility statement

This accessibility statement applies to the online service Nationalparks.fi. The service is subject to the Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019) that requires that public online services must be accessible.

The description of the accessibility of the website is based on an assessment by the developers of the Luontoon.fi service and an external expert organisation.

The service largely meets the accessibility requirements.

Perceivable

Image missing a text alternative
The service contains individual images that lack descriptive text alternatives. (1.1.1)

Video missing an alternative

Shortcomings in describing the purpose of input fields
Input fields are not identified by appropriate autocomplete attributes. (1.3.5)

Insufficient non-text contrast
There is insufficient contrast between keyboard focuses. (1.4.11)

Operable

Shortcomings in the use of the keyboard and assistive technologies in the language menu
The language menu is not easy to control with the keyboard or assistive technologies alone. (2.1.1)

Shortcomings in the focus order
The focus order is not logical in places. (2.4.3)

The purpose of some links may be unclear to the user
The website contains links the purpose of which may be unclear to the user. (2.4.4)

Heading is not descriptive
The website contains a heading that is unclear. (2.4.6)

The focus of some elements is not visible on mobile devices
The service contains elements that have no visible keyboard focus on mobile devices. (2.4.7)

Impossible to navigate all elements with a single pointer control gesture
On mobile devices, the service has elements that cannot be browsed with single pointer control gestures.

Understandable

The service contains a search field that lacks a continuously visible label describing the purpose of the field. (3.3.2)

Error only described to the user in general terms
There are some sections in the input fields where error texts do not describe errors precisely. (3.3.2)

Shortcomings in the accessible names of individual elements
The accessible names of some elements are missing or otherwise lacking. (4.1.2)

Shortcomings in the roles used in elements
The roles for some elements do not reflect the function of the element. (4.1.2)

Information about filter results is not always conveyed
The filter results are not conveyed if the filter message remains the same. (4.1.3)

The service may contain content produced by a third party that does not meet all accessibility requirements.
