Sipoonkorpi National Park showcases the best of nature in the eastern parts of Helsinki metropolitan area. Six actual trails and several connecting trails crisscross this large area with plenty of small detail which features a mosaic of forests, low-lying mires and steep rocky outcrops. The traditional rural landscapes in the northern part of the park and the small lakes on different sides of the park add variety to the views.

Visitor's checklist

  • The National Park is a nature reserveEveryman’s Right are not valid as such in national parks.
  • Always keep pets on a leashAlso remember a dog waste bag and clean up after your dog.
  • Make campfires only in designated sitesAlways check the current wildfire warning before making a fire. During a wildfire warning, fires are only allowed in cooking shelters with a chimney.
  • Camp only at permitted camping sitesCamping is only permitted in the immediate vicinity of designated rest and campfire sites, and huts.
  • Remember to bring a trash bagThere is no recycling point in the area. Bring a trash bag and take the trash with you.
  • At the campfire site, only the firewood provided at the location or brought by yourself may be used.Remember to use firewood sparingly.
