The Ketunlossi cable ferry has been opened

The Ketunlossi cable ferry in Repovesi National Park has been opened for the summer season 2025. The ferry can accommodate 8 people at a time and one crossing takes a few minutes, so the ferry can become congested during busy times. From the Lapinsalmi parking area, you can now access the national park trails again. The Lapinsalmi bridge is not in use, so the Ketunlenkki trail cannot be completed in its entirety.

Spring is a great time for hiking in Repovesi National Park

The rocks, southern slopes, and shores are revealed from under the snow early in the spring. Deeper in the forest and in the hollows, the last remnants of snow linger significantly longer. The trails in Repovesi are not usually prone to flooding, but some areas may be muddy. We recommend sturdy, moisture-resistant hiking or trekking shoes for your trip.
