In Punkaharju, you can find a Nordic skating route on natural ice that is one of the longest in Finland, or up to 17 km. This route on the ice of Lake Pihlajavesi also takes in Valkialampi, a small lake surrounded by eskers. A fee is charged for using the skating route.

• Along the skating route, there is a campfire site in Haataansaari island and a waffle café (open during the mid-term break weeks in spring).
