On the large lake, you can spot the white-tailed eagle, osprey, great cormorant and many other bird species that feel at home near water.
Cycling
The roads in Manamansalo island are beautiful and pleasant to drive on. Additionally, the Manamansalo cycling route runs through the hiking area. The terrain in the hiking area is delicate and easily worn, so please stay on the marked trail.
Swimming
Swimming is allowed everywhere in the hiking area. On the long beaches everyone can find their own favourite swimming spot. One of the best beaches of Kainuu region can be found at Manamansalo camping ground. You'll swim in the lakes and ponds at your own risk.
