Wilderness Cabin Oravankolo

Oravankolo - a traditional wilderness cabin in Nuuksio National Park! Oravankolo was built as a summer cottage in 1946. Today, Oravankolo is one of the most popular, authentic wilderness cabins in Nuuksio National Park. Situated on the banks of Ruuhilampi Lake, on the western side of the National Park, Oravankolo is easily accessible by hiking, public transportation and private car. Since 2019, Oravankolo has been a well-equipped and tidy wilderness cabin that is sure to satisfy the wishes of any nature lover. Book well in advance - the Oravankolo and Tikankolo wilderness cabins are very popular. Oravankolo can be booked all year round. Oravankolo is an authentic forest lodge with no running water or electricity so please bring the necessary water and lighting. The cabin can accommodate 6 persons comfortably on two-story beds. The premises include the actual hut and a separate sauna building. There are also a woodshed, a storage room and a dry outhouse toilet on the premises. Please notice that the nearest parking grounds are 4 kilometers away and the remainder of the way will be traveled by foot or by bike. Haltia Lake Lodge - nature boutique hotel

The reason for visiting Haltia Lake Lodge is nature itself. Just 30 minutes from Helsinki, you will find breathtakingly beautiful scenery here. Lakes, forests, canyons, wetlands and rugged cliffs cover the landscape and provide an exceptional backdrop for various activities such as hiking, canoeing, mountain biking or bird watching. Tikankolo was originally built as a lumberjack's lodge in the mid-20th century. Tikankolo, situated in its own private setting on the shores of Saarilampi, consists of a log cabin and a sauna building. Tikankolo has seen many travelers - the cabin's fine, time-patinated log walls tell a quiet story of times gone by. Since 2019, Tikankolo has been rented out as a well-equipped and tidy wilderness cabin that is sure to satisfy the desires of any nature lover. Book well in advance - Tikankolo and Oravankolo wilderness cabins are very popular. The main building of Tikankolo has two rooms with fireplaces and sleeping. The separate sauna building has a good-sized sauna, a dressing room and a wood storage. There is also a dry outhouse toilet on the premises. The nearest parking ground, Valklammentie parking, is situated about a kilometer away. The cabin is located on the shore of lake Saarilampi and can be reached via hiking and bike trails.
