Waterways have been the main traffic arteries in Lemmenjoki for centuries. The waters of the National Park and nearby areas are ideal for paddling trips. The paddling route from Lake Muddusjärvi or Lake Solojärvi to Njukulahti and further on to Kultahamina is an easy way to start water excursions in Lemmenjoki. For a more experienced paddler, the Vaskojoki, Kietsimäjoki, Ivalojoki and Repojoki Rivers and numerous small streams running through the National Park offer an endless choice of routes.
