Activities and trails

Helvetinjärvi National Park is an excellent day trip destination. There are approximately 40 km of marked trails.

Haukkajärvi and Iso Helvetinjärvi are wilderness lakes that are well suited for paddling.

The speciality of Helvetinjärvi National Park are the two ancient gorges. The narrow gorge lakes carry on as far as the eye can see. The park is home to diverse rock and forest scenery.

  • Remember to bring a trash bagThere is a waste container in the parking area. Bring a garbage bag and take the garbage to the waste container.
  • Always keep pets on a leashDog waste should be cleaned away from the paths.
