Length3 km
Duration(1-2 hours)
Two nature trails start from the Vargis yard: the 0.8 km long Wargrundan and the Älgrundan (elk trail), which has a length of 2.6 km. The trails meander along the rocky shores of the Kvicksund waterway, and the sights on the trail include boulders from the last Ice Age. The farm that used to be located at this site was the home of Richard and Amanda Warg one hundred years ago. At Vargis yard, there are two campfire sites, a Lean-to shelter, a woodshed, a dry toilet, and a jetty specifically suitable for kayakers. Camping is allowed on the yard premises. The trail is not maintained in the winter.

The "Wargrundan" trail (0.8 km) passes through areas that were previously cultivated but are now covered by forest. Along the trail, there's a bench where one can rest and admire the view of Kvicksunds strait.
The "Älgrundan" trail (2.6 km) first follows along the rocky and stony shore of Kvicksund, leading into a birch forest and eventually to an old spruce forest. It passes the rocky area, an ancient sea shoreline. There's a fantastic resting area at Kvicksund's shore. It's recommended to allocate at least an hour for the round as the terrain is challenging: rocky, stony, and sometimes slippery.
