The silence of Lake Hamarinjärvi and the pine heaths of Onnelannummi will calm even the busiest visitor. Climbing to the Nikkallio scenic lookout is worth the effort, as it offers a wonderful view of Lake Hamarinjärvi.

Starting point is Kirjakkala parking area, Hamarinjärventie 88, Salo. The parking area is located near the Kirjakkala ironworks. The parking area of the National Park is clearly marked for visitors.
After hiking for less than one kilometre, you will reach the Onnelannummi pine heath, with its reservable camping area for groups.
From Onnelannummi, the marked trail continues approximately 600 metres to the public campfire site at Lake Hamarinjärvi, where there is also a dry toilet.
After the campfire site, you can continue hiking the trail along the shore of Lake Hamarinjärvi. From the shore of the lake, the trail climbs up to Nikkallio rock. This section is steep and full of boulders in some places.
The return hike to the Onnelannummi reservable camp area is mostly downhill. The circle trail ends at the camp. The last section of the trail leads back to the parking area.
