Kuntopolku Trail starts between the buildings in the Visitor Centre yard. Other local paths also start at the same place. There is a map of the route at the beginning of the trail and at the crossings. On Kuntopolku follow the green hiker symbol on the black wooden post
The trail follows a gravel path along the edge of a light-filled esker. After a short while, the trail enters a lush pine forest, where you can stop to pick a few blueberries. The trail continues as a gentle path that is mostly a hardened rock dust surface. The first path branches off to the fitness stairs. Soon after the crossing, you’ll come to a rock wall on the left side of the trail and scattered tall old pine trees that provide a peaceful atmosphere as you walk. The trail continues to the signpost showing the way to the top of Jyppyrävaara Hill. The distance travelled from the starting point is 600 metres.
You can also increase the challenge by climbing to the top of Jyppyrävaara Hill, which has a lookout point, open Lapp hut with fireplaces, and a dry toilet. The adds 500 meters to the journey.
From the Jyppyrä crossing, the trail continues as a natural path through the birch forest, and you occasionally have to avoid larger rocks. Jyppyrävaara Hill remains on your left, and the trail soon crosses the Jyppyrä Lämpölatu ski trail for the first time. There is a guide map at the crossing of the Lämpölatu ski track and Kuntopolku Trail. The distance travelled from the Jyppyrä signpost is 850 metres.
A natural path curves through a shrub area to the west. The Palosenjärvi/Pahtajärvi Trail branches off from the path, and you soon arrive back at the Jyppyrä Lämpölatu ski trail. The distance travelled is 500 m. The trail continues along the Lämpölatu ski track base until it reaches the trail crossing where the guide map is located. The distance travelled is 1.2 km.
From the Kuntopolku Trail, you continue along a natural path to the easy Peurapolku Trail winding through a pine heath. The trail descends from the esker into a birch forest, where it continues along duckboards and a hardened rock dust path. There are several old hole traps, game running fences and boards with information on hunting along Peurapolku Trail. The distance travelled from the guide map is 500 m.
The last part of the trail runs along a ski track base and beside a road. There are residential buildings on the right and ski slopes and related structures on the left. The trail soon crosses the road diagonally and follows the signs and the weathered fence structure into the Visitor Centre yard. The distance travelled is 600 m
