Starting point: Rokua Health & Spa, Kuntoraitti 2, 91670 Rokua
Starting from Rokua Health & Spa towards Lianjärvi, the trail follows a wide gravel path for about 1 km, crossing a road at the beginning. At Lianjärvi, you’ll find the first rest area of Keisarinkierros, the Lianjärvi day-use hut, with an accessible toilet.
After the day-use hut, the trail continues as an easy, rolling path for 1.2 km to the junction with the Kirvesjärvi campfire hut, a 0.7 km detour one way.
Keisarinkierros continues from the junction as an easy route through pine forest for 2.8 km to the Saarinen campfire hut.
From Saarinen, the trail continues east for about 0.9 km along the sandy Salmisentie on the isthmus between the lakes Saarinen and Salminen until it diverges from Salmisentie at a junction.
From the junction, Keisarinkierros continues south towards Syvyydenkaivo, which is about 1 km away. This section of the trail has long wooden stairs along the edge of Syvyydenkaivo. From Syvyydenkaivo, the trail continues 1.6 km towards Pookivaara, which features a observation tower, wilderness hut, day-use hut, rental hut, and dry toilet.
From Pookivaara, the trail descends 1.9 km through Hätäjärvi to the rest area at Pitkäjärvi, located in the oldest and most scenic part of the national park. Pitkäjärvi is a popular camping area with an accessible campfire hut and dry toilet.
From the southern shore of Lake Pitkäjärvi, Keisarinkierros continues east for 1.6 km to Lake Rokuanjärvi. Keisarinkierros doesn’t quite reach the hiking structures at Rokuanjärvi; a 0.3 km detour in each direction leads to the Rokuanjärvi campfire hut and dry toilet.
After Lake Rokuanjärvi, the longest section of Keisarinkierros begins, covering 5.3 km without hiking structures. The easy path continues through the eastern part of the national park to the Jaakonjärvi lean-to shelter. There are stairs along the trail at Lake Loukkojärvi.
From Jaakonjärvi, it is 0.6 km to the direction of Hotel Rokuanhovi. The final section goes 2.8 km along a walkway between Rokuanhovi and Rokua Health & Spa.
