From the parking area, start by walking 50 metres forward along the gravel road until the duckboard trail starts at the edge of the road and takes you to the mire.
The trail runs along duckboards all the way. First, you will reach the junction to the Mutilahti observation tower. The trail leading there is 400 metres in length back and forth.
The trail continues among pine trees until you reach the next junction, from where you can visit a turf shelter and the Ala-Kauvatsanjoki campsite. Turf shelters were used to drain peat in the past. There are information boards on the topic at the shelter as well as tables and benches for taking a break. If you wish, you can continue past the shelter all the way to the Ala-Kauvatsanjoki campsite. A duckboard section leads to the Ala-Kauvatsanjoki River along the edges of the Isosuo Mire.
The next sight along the Isosuo Nature Trail is an observation tower where you can see and hear many birds. You can admire an open landscape over the vast mire from the tower.
The Nature Trail continues in a more open mire landscape among small pines.
The final section of the trail follows the edge of the mire towards the gravelled road. Finally, walk back to the parking area along the road.
