Puurijärvi-Isosuo National Park is a bird paradise in the midst of a cultural landscape. At bird-watching towers dotted around the park, you can watch and listen to huge flocks of birds going about their business. In the enchanting mires, duckboards will keep your feet dry.

Natural Features of Puurijärvi and Isosuo National Park

The nearly overgrown Lake Puurijärvi is one of the most bird-rich lakes in Finland. Together with Isosuo, it forms a particularly valuable and diverse bird area.

  • Camp only at permitted camping sitesCamping is only permitted in the immediate vicinity of designated rest and campfire sites, and huts.
  • At the campfire site, only the firewood provided at the location or brought by yourself may be used.Remember to use firewood sparingly.
  • Remember to bring a trash bagThere is no recycling point in the area. Bring a trash bag and take the trash with you.
  • Always keep pets on a leashDog waste should be cleaned away from the paths.
