The Hossa thematic trail starts from the left corner of the parking area opposite the Hossa Visitor Centre. The thematic trail is easy to walk, and the beginning and end of the trail are accessible.
At the beginning, the trail follows the shoreline of the Huosilampi Pond, from where the journey continues along duckboards and passes a mire area.
After the mire, the trail climbs on a beautiful esker. From the esker you can see, for example, an incredible bluish-green kettle hole. The trail continues on top of the esker and descends to the shore. It then continues past the parking area and campfire site towards the Huosilampi lean-to shelter, which is accessible.
From the Huosilampi lean-to shelter, the trail remains accessible until you get back to the parking area near the Visitor Centre.
The thematic trail connects to Lake Huosiusjärvi and the Hossa village trails as well as a wheelchair-accessible trail to the Huosiusjärvi rental hut (800 metres). There are four accessible fishing piers on the shores of the Huosilampi Pond.
