The Bakunkärr trail runs through diverse forest. It is possible to traverse the loop starting from the Bakunkärr parking area either clockwise or counterclockwise. Enjoy your trail lunch on rest areas located on cliffs. The rest areas are equipped with benches.

The trail can be walked either clockwise or counterclockwise.
From the parking area on Knutersintie road, you climb up through a spectacular hazel grove into a coniferous wood where dense spruce forests and barren pine-dominated areas alternate. Many areas are rocky.
There are tree roots and stones on the trail in places, which is why you should bring sturdy shoes. Some of the trail is paved with gravel, for instance near the parking area.
There are picnic tables along Bakunkärr trail, and duckboards in wet areas.
Halfway around Bakunkärr circle trail, there is marked trail to Bakunkärr campsite, which has a cooking shelter. There is also a campfire site, firewood shed and dry toilet. Overnight camping is allowed around the campsite.
