Tiilikkajärvi National Park is a vast and diverse natural destination. It includes delicate, dry ridges and extensive aapa mires, as well as wilderness lakes and other water bodies. The history and livelihoods of the border region, from lake ore production to forestry, still glimmer in the wilderness landscape.

Activities and trails

The season for off-track skiing begins already in early winter. In late winter, skiing is done on classic style tracks.

As the Tiilikka lake does not have any wide open areas or currents, it is ideal for beginners in canoeing.

Tiilikkajärvi National Park was established to preserve wilderness-like lake, river and esker ecosystems, as well as the open aapa bogs surrounding Lake Tiilikka.
