By car to Punkaharju
Highway 14 passes near Punkaharju. There are signs from the road to the old Harjutie road (road 4792), which runs the length of the entire nature reserve through magnificent landscapes.There are plenty of parking areas in the area, including:
- Kuikonniemi parking area, Harjutie 223, Savonlinna (road 4792). Space for approximately 12 cars. During winter maintenance, the parking area may be smaller.
- Tutkimuspuisto (Research Park) parking area, Puistometsäntie 14 (turnoff from road 14). Space for approximately 20 cars. During winter maintenance, the parking area may be smaller.
- Parking can also be found in Lusto, among others.
