Visit the Örö Fortress Island
Örö is located in the Archipelago Sea, approximately 13 km south of Kasnäs. This destination is accessible by water only.
By ferry
Örö fortress island can be reached by ferry from Kasnäs on Kemiönsaari round the year (wilsoncharter.fi)
The crossing takes around 60 minutes. To avoid disappointment, you should purchase your ticket in advance from the operator’s online shop (wilsoncharter.johku.com), especially in summer. Tickets can also be purchased on the ferry. You can bring a bicycle on the ferry.
There are two free public parking areas in Kasnäs. During school summer holidays, Kasnäs can be reached from Helsinki and Turku by buses operated by Vainion liikenne (vainionliikenne.fi)
By boat and by kayak
Landing on Örö is only allowed via the guestharbour. There is a special jetty for canoes. Anchoring is prohibited on other parts of Örö island. More about the service in the guestharbour (visitoro.fi)
