A modest open wilderness hut is available year-round. A demanding wilderness destination.
The open wilderness hut is a shared and free resting and overnight place for independent hikers (not for companies). You can stay in wilderness huts for one or two nights without a reservation. Be prepared for the possibility that there may not be enough space to sleep in the hut.
Facilities:
- Sleeping places for 7.
- Open fireplace for cooking.
- No drinking water point. Water from natural sources must be purified before drinking.
- No waste management. Take your own waste out of the area.
- Bring your own cooking utensils.
- Pets are allowed in the hut only with the consent of other users.

Gorsastohpu/Korsatupa open wilderness hut's sauna will be closed until further notice
The sauna at the Gorsastohpu/Korsatupa open wilderness hut in the Pulju Wilderness Reserve will be closed until further notice to conserve firewood. The sauna will be closed in week 16, before Easter. The open wilderness hut, toilet, woodshed, and outdoor fireplace will remain available. The nearest sauna is in Hannukuru, on the Hetta-Pallas trail in Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park
