There is a good network of trails in Aulanko Nature Reserve. Some of the trails are wide sand paths, which are also suitable for visitors with wheelchairs and prams. An asphalt ring road is the only route that is maintained in the winter. Other roads and trails are not ploughed.

There is an asphalt-surfaced one-way ring road (3 km), which goes round the nature reserve. Driving is allowed from 8 am-11 pm on this road. Most of the sights in the area are easily accessible along the asphalt ring road.
