On the easy Hakinkierros Trail, you can hike in a forest landscape spotted by larch trees and other uncommon tree species. Forest research has been carried out in the area for over a century. The trail runs alternately along trails, gravel roads and ski tracks. The trail is also ideal for mountain biking and serves as a ski track in the winter. The Karjalankallio lean-to shelter with its campfire site and lake views, located in the middle of the trail, invites visitors to enjoy a bite and rest for a while. The dozens of tree species and their special forms in the tree species park and the ancient larch forest with its record tall trees are interesting sights. Lucky hikers might catch a glimpse of the northern nutcracker (Nucifraga caryocatactes), the emblem bird of the trail.
