The easy-access Saari-Soljanen nature trail introduces the Finnish bog landscape and its biodiversity. The Soljanen area is one of the largest natural peatland areas in Seitseminen National Park. From the viewing platforms, you can admire the bog ponds and the rugged wilderness of the open bog landscape. The trail is suitable for the whole family. At both the start and end points, there is an accessible cooking shelter, a campfire site, and a dry toilet. The bog sections are equipped with duckboards, so regular sneakers are sufficient for the trail. The first part of the trail, about 0.5 km, is suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. Please note that during the bird nesting season from April 1st to July 15th, there are movement restrictions outside the official trails in the Soljanen area. The trail is not maintained during winter.

The trail starts in front of the accessible cooking shelter at Saari-Soljanen. The beginning of the trail is a wide, accessible gravel path through a bright pine forest.
The trail turns onto the bog and continues as a wide, accessible wooden duckboard. Along this section, there are two viewing platforms where you can stop to admire the beautiful Kirkas-Soljanen pond. You might spot a great northern diver or a black-throated diver on the pond.
From the viewing platforms, you backtrack slightly and turn off the wide duckboard onto a more traditional plank trail that leads from the bog towards a more forested section of the trail.
The easy path winds through the coniferous forest.
There is also an option to take a roughly 200-meter detour to the Jaulinneva viewing platform, offering a view over the open bog. You might even spot cranes or ruffs there. From the platform, you return to the main trail, which leads back to the cooking shelter via small forest and bog sections.
