Saari-Soljanen Nature Trail

Hiking & outdoor recreation

Length1.9 km

Duration(1 h)

LocationYlöjärvi

The easy-access Saari-Soljanen nature trail introduces the Finnish bog landscape and its biodiversity. The Soljanen area is one of the largest natural peatland areas in Seitseminen National Park. From the viewing platforms, you can admire the bog ponds and the rugged wilderness of the open bog landscape. The trail is suitable for the whole family. At both the start and end points, there is an accessible cooking shelter, a campfire site, and a dry toilet. The bog sections are equipped with duckboards, so regular sneakers are sufficient for the trail. The first part of the trail, about 0.5 km, is suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. Read a more detailed description of the accessible trail. Please note that during the bird nesting season from April 1st to July 15th, there are movement restrictions outside the official trails in the Soljanen area. The trail is not maintained during winter.
