The trail runs through wilderness and has a lot of elevation differences, so it requires good equipment and is not recommended for beginner hikers. Weather conditions can change rapidly in open fell areas, there may be dead zones in mobile phone coverage, and visibility can disappear quickly. In the stream valley of Rautuvanganoja, the trail winds through multiple parallel paths and crosses small streams. From the summits of Rautupää and Niilanpää, there are awesome views of Urho Kekkonen National Park. • The trail passes by three day-use huts, and you can find an old reindeer separation fence near the Niilanpää day-use hut. The trail between Kiilopää Fell Center and Luulampi is marked with black poles that have yellow signs with Luulampi symbols. Between Luulampi, Rautulampi, and Kiilopää Fell Center, the trail is marked with blue and red trail markers. The trail is also a popular bicycle trail.
