The traditional ski track maintained by the Hossa ski track pool crosses gentle pine heaths, but also offers steeper climbs and descents. You can relax and take a picnic break at the Puukkojärvi open wilderness hut. Maintenance of the track begins as soon as the snow and ice conditions permit. You can usually ski on it from the beginning of January to the end of April. In April, the sun softens the surface of the ski track, and the ski track may be dangerously hard and icy after night frosts. The ski track follows the same track with multi-purpose trails at some points. Please take other trail users into consideration. A sled dog trail crosses the track at a few points. If you encounter a dog sled, it has the right of way.
- Pine heaths, ridges, and kettle holes
- Iikoski flows unfrozen throughout the winter.
