The Pooki ski track begins at the Rokua ski stadium and follows the Rokua competition ski tracks the whole way. The track is marked with signs for Pookivaara Hill and kilometre markers on the way out to Pookivaara Hill.
The ski track passes over varying terrain. Some of the track's ascents and descents are demanding. From Rokuanhovi, the ski track first goes up to Vauluvaara Hill, from where you descend before another climb towards Pookivaara Hill.
The most prominent sight along the ski track is Pookivaara Hill, which is also the highest point in Rokua National Park. From Pookivaara Hill, the track returns to the ski stadium and there are marked signs and kilometer markers on the way back. The ski track descends fast toward Pookinkuppi kettle hole and then climbs atop an esker.
From Pookinkuppi, the Pooki ski track returns to the starting point at Rokua ski stadium. On the last, about 2.5 km long stage, does not have as steep ascents or descents as in the beginning, but there are enough smaller differences in height until the end of the ski track.
