On the Moitakurun reitti Trail, you can see the upper reaches of the Luttojoki River, where it is still narrow.From Kaunispää and Palopää, you can enjoy views of the fells. Along the route, you will find Karvaselkä's Haunted Cabin in Saariselkä and the old reindeer herder's cabin and reindeer round-up fence in Moitakuru. Campsites along the trail include the Luttojoki day-use hut, the Palo-oja campfire hut and the Moitakuru day-use hut. The trail is available all year round. In Summertime hiking and mountain biking, in winter cross-country skiing trail. The route is a demanding route due to its length and large differences in altitude. The trail is marked in the terrain with black vertical posts. You can travel the trail through the Kaunispää Fell, where a café operates during the high season.

The Moitakurun reitti Trail starts from Saariselkä, at the starting gate of the Urho Kekkonen National Park. After 350 meters, turn right towards the Haunted Cabin.
From the hut, the trail continues 6.6 kilometres east along the Luttojoki River, all the way to the Luttotupa Hut.
The route continues for 6 km to Moitakuru, where you can take a break at the Moitakuru day hut.
The return to Saariselkä goes over the Palopää Fell, descending to the Palo-oja campfire shelter. The distance from Moitakuru to Palo-oja is 4.7 km.
After Palo-oja, the route splits. By choosing the western branch, the return to Saariselkä goes over the Kaunispää Fell. The distance to Saariselkä via the Kaunispää Fell is 6 kilometers.
The southern branch leads back to the Lutto River and then to Saariselkä, a distance of approximately 5.3 km.
