A hiker starting out from the Suomen Latu Kiilopää Fellcenter and heading towards Luulampi immediately enters the fell environment. Ascents and descents make the trail more demanding. The trail winds along the north-facing slope of the Kiilopää Fell. Although it does not lead to the fell’s highest point, the open views are amazing. The highlight of the trail is the Luulampi pond area, where remains of a Stone Age dwelling site have been found. In the immediate surroundings of the ponds, visitors are urged to stick to the existing paths. The area around Luulampi is a cultural heritage site, where camping is prohibited in some parts. The spacious Luulampi day-use hut serves as a wilderness café during the high season. There is also a smaller campfire hut in the vicinity of the Luulampi day-use hut, where you can enjoy your own snacks by the fire. The trail is mostly gravelled, and the most challenging sections are the descent to the Luulampi Pond and the climb on a rockier section. The trail is suitable for people of all ages and pets.
