This wilderness trail is ideal for hikers seeking to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. There are two lean-to shelters and one open wilderness hut along the trail. There is also a sauna in the open wilderness hut on the shore of Kerojärvi Lake. A cable boat is used to cross Niitselysjoki River at the northern end of the trail.

Keroharjun kuiskaus Trail can be travelled in both directions. The distance between the starting point and the ending point is 66 km.
The trail starts by crossing Niitselysjoki River with a cable boat. The cable boat is removed from use for the winter, usually in October. The boat is brought back in late May-early June.
The first lean-to shelter at Elijoki River is 2.7 km from the starting point. This section of the trail is easy to walk, but slightly rolling in some places. Hikers cross the mire on duckboards.
The trail continues from Elijoki lean-to shelter through varied terrain, crossing mire areas on duckboards and along the top of a long esker
You arrive at Kerojärvi open wilderness hut after 5.3 km. The distance from the starting point at Niitselyksentie road to the open wilderness hut is 8 km.
The remaining 9 km from the open wilderness hut runs along Keroharju Esker, which is surrounded by large mire areas. Kirkonnurkanlampi lean-to shelter is located 3 km before the end point of the trail.
