The Kauhalammin kierros trail is one of the finest duckboard trails in Southern Finland, and the viewing tower offers a magnificent views of the mire landscape. The trail is easy to hike and suitable for the whole family. The trail can be started from the Nummikangas or Salomaa parking area. Nummikangas has a campfire site, dry toilet and viewing tower. Salomaa has a camping site, an accessible campfire shelter with campfire sites, an accessible dry toilet and a well. The mire sections of the trail are crossed on duckboards, so visitors can hike the trail in trainers. Some of the trails are accessible and suitable for visitors with prams and wheelchairs. Read a more detailed description of the accessible route. The trail is not maintained during the winter. Please note that visitors are prohibited from entering the restricted area during the nesting season of birds from 1 April to 15 September. Please stay on the marked trail.

The trail has two start and end points: Salomaa Kyrönkankaantie 357, Karvia Nummikangas Kyrönkangas museum road, Kauhajoki
The trail has out-and-back sections, between which there is a circle trail. The total length of the trail is approximately 5 km.
From the Salomaa parking area, the trail follows a forest path to a campfire site. The trail continues counterclockwise, starting as an accessible trail section along the edge of a forest and mire toward Kauhalampi. The trail is a wide boardwalk with an accessible nature viewing platform on the shore of Lake Kauhalampi.
From the nature viewing platform, visitors can continue on the hiking trail to the Nummikangas viewing tower and campfire site.
The trail returns to Kauhalampi along the same route and turns into a narrower duckboard section. The 1.6-kilometre duckboard section starts across the open Kauhaneva mire area.
The trail returns to the edge of the mire and joins the forest path leading to Salomaa. Passing by the campfire site at Salo, the trail returns to the end point at the parking area.
