This short route takes you directly to one of Rukatunturi's peaks, where you can admire the expansive views. Opposite the top of Juhannuskallio, you can see Pyhävaara, which is part of the same nature reserve. As the name suggests, Juhannuskallio was historically a place where Midsummer was celebrated. The vegetation on the fell tops is delicate and cannot withstand trampling, so please stay on marked trails. There are no terrain services or structures along the route. At the starting point, you will find the hotel-restaurant Ruka Peak.

Note the movement restriction: There is a movement restriction in effect at the tip and western slope of Juhannuskallio annually from April 1 to August 15. The marked route does not pass through the restricted area.
