The Hiiden hurmos Trail allows you to experience the diverse nature of Oulanka National Park and see an old reindeer round-up corral that is still used by local reindeer herders. The highlight of the trail is Kiutaköngäs Rapids, which is framed by reddish dolomite rock walls. Hiiden hurmos Trail is available all year round and is suitable for the whole family. There are some differences in elevation and stairs built into the ground along the trail. A shelter and campfire site are located near Kiutaköngäs Rapids.

- Water pointThe water tap of the Oulanka Visitor Centre is located outside on the exterior wall.
- No winter maintenanceHikers using this trail tamp the snow down, which mean that it can also be used during winter without snowshoes. The trail may be slippery in places.

The trail is marked with yellow paint signs on trees.
The trail starts under a wooden gate at one end of the Visitor Centre. The wide trail is easy to identify in the terrain.
After approximately 400 metres, the trail comes to a crossing where you turn right and climb a gentle slope for about 900 metres.
The uphill section ends when you arrive at the reindeer round-up corral. Climb up to the viewing tower to see the entire corral.
The trail continues on duckboards along the shores of the upper Hiidenlampi Pond.
After a flat section, the trail descends a slightly steeper slope of approximately 400 metres. There is a crossing at the bottom of the hill where you turn left.
The trail continues as a flat path towards Kiutaköngäs shelter, passing through Kiutaniitty Meadow, which you can see an old meadow barn.
From the campsite, the trail continues to the left as it nears Kiutaköngäs Rapids.
Just before the rapids, there is a crossing where you can go down steep stairs leading to the trail section below the rapids and then walk through a rocky area to the upper end of the rapids. If walking on the rocks is challenging, you can continue along the marked trail from the crossing rather than taking the stairs.
From the campsite, the trail continues to the left as it nears Kiutaköngäs Rapids.
The trail arrives at a wooden trail bridge at the upper end of the rapids, where you can admire the upper section of Kiutaköngäs Rapids.
After Kiutaköngäs Rapids, the trail continues along Oulankajoki River back to Oulanka Visitor Centre.
