Canoeing is a brilliant way to explore the fragile ecosystem of Linnansaari Island.
The archipelago nature of Lake Saimaa at its most beautiful can be found in Linnansaari National Park. The best way to experience the area is to combine travelling by water to the trails, landscapes and services of the main island. The trails (some accessible) run along shoreline cliffs and through lush herb-rich forests and traditional landscapes. You might even come across a Saimaa ringed seal when travelling by water in Linnansaari!
