Many busses (matkahuolto.fi) travel along main road 2 daily.

You can get off the bus at Kyynäräntie Road intersection. From there it is a 4 km walk to Korteniemi Heritage Farm and 1.5 km to Kyynäränharju, a sandy shored ridge.

On the north-western side of the area, the bus stop is at the Eerikkilä crossroads, from which you walk 1.5 km toward Porras to the Ruostejärvi recreational area parking area. From the parking area, it is 5 km to the national park boundary on a marked hiking trail.

You can also get off the bus at Loukku intersection on the southeast side of the national park. From Loukku it is a 6 km hike along forest roads to Liesjärvi National Park. A map is needed for this route.
