Villenkämppä Day-use-hut's fireplace has been closed indefinitely for fire safety reasons in January 2025.

Vuolittaman Hirvikämppä open wilderness hut has been closed indefinitely for fire safety reasons in January 2025. The dry toilet and woodshed will also be closed.

Pyhävasa open wilderness hut's fireplace has been closed indefinitely for fire safety reasons in January 2025. The dry toilet will remain available and hut stays open.

A tree has fallen on the Varkaanoja footbridge near Lake Kesänkijärvi (Äkäslompolo). The snowshoeing trail and the bridge can still be used, but be prepared to cross the fallen tree.

Firewood has run out at Vuontisjärvi Open Wilderness Hut in Muonio. We will inform you when wood is available again.

Mustakero Open Wilderness Hut is closed until further notice.
The closure applies to all structures on the premises, including the dry toilet and woodshed. Camping is forbidden. The water source will remain open.
