Teräväpää

Teräväpää offers contemporary accommodation in the shelter of massive log walls, on the shore of Lake Jatkonjärvi. Teräväpää has 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and living room, shower and toilet. Facilities include an ice-cooler, electric stove, dishwasher and microwave oven. Central heating ensures comfort during all seasons, in addition to which a fireplace creates warmth and atmosphere. A lakeside sauna, swimming beach and boats are shared with Pääpirtti lumberjack's house, located in the same yard area. There is also an outdoor grill area, outdoor fireplace and a smoking oven for shared use. You can order dining, program and guide services from Hossa visitor centre. Teräväpää is not suitable for the disabled.

Tolosenvirta cabin

50’s lumberjack atmosphere and the scenery of Hossa National Park are combined at Tolosenvirta cabin. The log cabin on the coast of Lounaja lake has been renovated for tourism purposes, and comes with all mod-cons. The apartment can accommodate up to 9 people. Altogether, there are four 2-person rooms and one single room. A wood-fired sauna on the shore crowns the high-quality accommodation. The boat has life jackets that guests can use free-of-charge. One can drive a car directly to the Tolosenvirta accommodation.

Lakeside Campsite in Camping Hossan Lumo, near Hossa National Park

32 powered campsites on a peaceful place by the lake on a dry and level terrain, approximately 5 km from the closest hiking trails of Hossa National Park. Maintenance building has toilets, showers, cooking and laundry facilities. From the kitchen you can find oven with hobbs, refridgerator, microwave oven, coffee machine, kettle and a toaster. Amenities building is open from 1st June to 30th September. Dates may differ due to weather condition. Our lakeside sauna's daily communal hours are included in the price during Summer months (June-September). We have a great, sandy swimming beach by the sauna, suitable for adults and children.

Väinölä cottage

Väinölä is a cozy house completed in 1961 only about 11 km from Hossa National Park. The house has a living room, bedroom and kitchen. There are 3 beds in the bedroom and 2 beds in the living room. The kitchen is equipped with dining and cooking utensils, electric stove, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, coffee maker and kettle. There is a TV and radio in the living room. Drinking water is carried from a well with a hand pump in the yard. The water from the well has not been studied, but it has been used as drinking water. However, we recommend boiling the water before use. The rental property is heated with an air source heat pump, in addition to which there is a stove in the kitchen and in the bedroom. In the yard of the house there is a wood-heated sauna and an outhouse. In addition, there is a cellar and a campfire site in the yard. This rental property is perfect for both a small group and an individual hiker. Pets are welcome. Available for rent between 1.6.-31.10. Minimum rental period 2 days. Stay in comfort in peace of nature. Cozy and comfortable cabins at Hossa are suitable for year-round stays. The sleeping alcoves of the cosy cabins have bunk beds for 4 people. In addition, the kitchen/living room has a sofa bed that can be opened out. The cabins have electric heating and a wood-burning stove. Facilities include an electric cooker, microwave oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, dishwasher, drying cupboard for clothes and a TV. Each cabin has its own toilet and shower. Saunas are available free of charge in the maintenance building of the campsite and, at an additional cost, in the lakeside sauna. Bed linen and final cleaning are not included in the rent. The cozy cottages are called Hunajatassu Mesikämmen Metsänkuningas Karhu Pets are allowed in Hunajatassu, Karhu, Mesikämmen and Metsänkuningas. Joukojärvi's Pirtti

There are beds for eight people on the upper floor of the Joukojärvi pirtti. The wood-heated sauna is located in the same building. There are a campfire place next to the sandy beach, which is also good for swimming. The rowing boat is available to residents. The composted outdoor toilet is odourless. The pirtti is heated with trees, and in cold seasons the pirtti is handed over heated. No pets allowed. Joukojärvi's pirtti, originally built in the early 1890s in Timpinvaara as the main building of the Kaikkola farm, was moved to its current location on the shores of Joukojärvi in 1986. Over the past few years, Pirtti has received a newer kitchen and baking oven. The refrigerator can be used with electricity or LPG. The hella is LPG-powered. Electricity is produced with solar energy. The photovoltaic system is 100 metres away in Riihelä. In the darkest times of the year, the battery may have to be charged with aggregate. The holiday apartments in Joukojärvi have been left with handprints of their time, such as pirt benches and the original table. When you look at the windows, you can see the wrists of Russian rule in glasses. Recycled materials are used as much as possible in construction and interior and decoration. Pääpirtti is a traditional lumberjack’s apartment with modern comforts. The accommodation is located in the landscape of Lake Jatkonjärvi, in Hossa National Park. Pääpirtti has 8 rooms, a kitchen, a dining and meeting space, as well as shower and toilet facilities. The log cabin is ideal for organizing recreational days, training courses and camp schools for there's room for 28 persons. Pääpirtti’s rooms are also suitable for the disabled. Tiuku Cottage

Tiukumökki is a round log cabin with electricity and sauna, available in the Summertime only. It is located on the Hossanharju esker, on the shore of Öllöri -lake. The cabin is accessible by car, however the lake is beneath a staircase of around 50 steps. A path to Luontokeskus on foot or by bike is about 1km. A rowing boat is available on the shore. The cabin is suitable for two people. The downstairs bed width is 120 cm. Aitta-cabin

A cabin (Aitta room) in Riihelä next to Hossa National Park: 2-person room with twin beds, pets welcome. Find cozy accommodation in a semi-detached cabin where you have a chance to enjoy the warmth of the fireplace. It used to be an aged log house in Koiravaara. There is space for two people with pets in both apartments. At the end of 2020, this very house from Koiravaara was converted into a cabin and placed in the yard area of Riihelä. Both apartments have a private entrance, a heat retaining fireplace and luxury hotel beds. The subject is unobstructed. Access routes to the pier, the fireplace, the beach are easy.

The traditional looking log cabin is located on one of the most valuable hotspots in Hossa. The cottage is usable in the Summer only, and the views over Hossanlahti (the gulf of Hossa) are extraordinary. The cottage is secluded, on the island on Hossanlahti. The beach is sandy. The cottage has electricity. Living room / kitchen with double bed, sleeping alcove with double bed. There is a fireplace and a swing in the yard. Separate sauna building with sauna hut. There is also a separate barbecue hut. The cottage is on an island, so there is a rowing distance of about 200 meters from the car park to the island. Öllörimökki Cottage

3 persons, only used in the summer. Öllörimökki is a round log cabin, only used in the summer. This hillside cabin is located at the other end of Öllöri -lake, where you can enjoy the sunset view over the lake even from indoors. The sauna is in its own hut, right on the shore of the crystal clear water. The cabin on the hillside is recommended for visitors in good condition, as there is a staircase of a hundred steps from the car park to the sauna, the cabin being in the middle. Hossa National Park is about 2,5km away on foot or by bike. Ideally, the cabin is suitable for three people. Camping Hossan Lumo is located on the shore of the beautiful Lake Hossanjärvi. Some of the cottages have their own sauna and during summer months our guests can also enjoy the soft "löyly" of our lakeside saunas. Our cottages are available for rent all year round, while cafe and mini market are open from June to end of October. You can also rent kayaks, SUP-boards and mountain bikes from us. Camp site Karhunkainalo

The diverse camping services guarantee a relaxing camping holiday surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Karhunkainalo campsite in Hossa is open from March to October. Karhunkainalo campsite is located in the enchanting landscape of Hossa National Park, on the shore of Lake Öllöri. The campsite has 49 caravan spots with electrical connections and tent places. The cooking and dining facilities in the maintenance building are free for guests to use. Under the same roof, one will find toilets, showers, non-stop saunas and baby changing facilities, as well as facilities for laundry and ski maintenance. There is also a sauna for rental on the shore of Öllöri. The visitor centre’s dining, program and guidance services are available as part of a camping holiday. It is possible to take care of chemical waste for RVs and caravans at the campsite.

Körmelö Log Cabin

The log cabin is suitable for four persons. There are two single beds and an extra bed for two persons. It has an outhouse, a stove and cooking equipment. Pets are not allowed, smoking is not allowed. Körmelö is a unique accommodation cabin assembled from the logs of two different buildings in 2021, placed in the Riihelä yard district of Kainuun Luontoretket. It's atmosphere can best be experienced by visiting the site. The log cabin is wheelchair accessible. There are slopes at both ends of the building. The outside toilet is also wheelchair accessible. You can also access the main building, the beach, the lean-to and the beach sauna with a wheelchair.
