    Guided Canoeing Trip to Lake Julma-Ölkky On a guided trip you will hear stories about nature, times gone by and local history while enjoying the stunning scenery of Hossa. A guided trip is also a safe choice when starting your first canoe rides. For a canoeist it is a thrilling experience to face the rugged cliffs of Julma-Ölkky rising straight up from the surface of the water. Canoeing is also one of the best ways to view the approximately 4,500-year-old rock paintings up close. The canoeing trip to Julma-Ölkky takes 3 hours. A kayak, canoe or SUP-board can be used. Weather permitting, the trip will take place on a sunny evening in smooth weather. We will make a pause just to admire the sunset and listen to the silence. During the outing we will also take a break to have a snack. The trip is unobstructed. The route to the pier is easy. The pier has barrier-free structures for access to the cayak or kanoe or sup-board. We’ll take you on a guided jig fishing trip to Joukojärvi and Virtajärvi aboard a stable, accessible boat with an electric motor. Fishing is easy from the deck, and with live sonar, we’ll locate fish schools and target zander, pike, and perch. Jig fishing with lightweight gear guarantees exciting action!   • Presentation of Hossa National Park

    Groups visiting Hossa can order a versatile presentation of the national park, which tells more about the area's history, nature, places and various recreational opportunities. The presentation will be held in the auditorium of Hossa Visitor Centre and it lasts 45–60 minutes. The maximum size of a group is 25 people, larger groups can be booked several presentation sessions if necessary. Presentations are held on weekdays Mon-Fri and the price is 90 euros/presentation. For full-day fishing excursions, we plan the theme according to our customers' wishes and weather conditions. Target fish may include large whitefish, perch, trout, grayling, pikeperch, or pike. Depending on the conditions, fishing can be done from sight fishing in clear water to deeper water fishing. We use a live sonar for fish observation, which helps you find the fish accurately. The trip's equipment includes a large ice fishing tent, a battery-operated 10” auger, live sonar, reindeer skins, a grill, and snowmobiles for transportation.
