On the Teerivaara kierros (Teerivaara loop), your journey takes you to stunning viewpoints right near the Syöte Nature Center. In winter, it can be explored with snowshoes. In midwinter, trekkers are captivated by the snow-covered candle spruces, under which it’s fun to explore. In late winter, the sun warms your cheeks, and the heavy snow load has already fallen off the spruces. The Teerivaara day hut, located at the top of the hill, serves as a rest spot. The Teerivaara snowshoe trail is not mechanically maintained, so after a snowstorm, it may be covered. During busy seasons, the trail gets packed down hard, so it can often be walked without snowshoes.
