Riisitunturi National Park’s 20 kilometer long Multipurpose Track takes snowshoers and skiers to the breath-taking scenery of snow-laden forests, and stunning mires and hills resting in a quiet winter’s slumber.

There are blue directional signs at the crossings and some red sticks along the trail. The trail is not completely marked so take a map and compass with you.
Riisitunturi parking area - Riisitunturi Open Wilderness Hut 2 km
The Riisitunturi multipurpose Track starts from the right corner of the Riisitunturi parking area, when facing the café. At the starting point of the trail, there is a laminated winter trail map of Riisitunturi and a directional sign for the multi-use trail.
The first two kilometers to the open wilderness hut are a gentle ascent.
Riisitunturi Open Wilderness Hut - Soilu lean-to shelter 1,5 km
From the open wilderness hut, the trail continues along the lower slope of Pikku-Riisitunturi and eventually ascends to the Soilu lean-to shelter. From the Soilu lean-to shelter, there are beautiful views towards Rinnesuo and Nuolivaara.
oilu lean-to shelter - Uusilampi lean-to shelter 3,3 km
From the Soilu lean-to shelter, the trail continues on a steep decline towards Rinnesuo Mire then south via Riisisuo Mire to the Uusilampi lean-to shelter.
Uusilampi lean-to shelter - Soilu lean-to shelter 9,1 km
From the Uusilampi lean-to shelter, the track runs north-west towards Lake Kolmiloukkonen, from where it continues around Nuolivaara Hill towards Soilunsuo Mire. From Soilunsuo, the track continues towards Rinnesuo Mire and then runs back along the same route via the Soilu lean-to shelter
Soilu lean-to shelter - Riisitunturi parking area 3,5 km
Riisitunturi Multipurpose Track continues along the same route back to the parking area via the Riisitunturi Open Wilderness Hut.
