Go Berry and Mushroom Picking
The islands of Lake Inarijärvi are known to be good places for berry picking,
because frost does not usually bite there so easily. In the dry pine forests of
Juutua area, there are great places to pick Lingonberries (Vaccinium
vitis-idaea). Places lush enough for Blueberries (Vaccinium
myrtillus) are rare. Little mires, where Cloudberries (Rubus
chamaemorus) grow, may be found between the hills, making a pleasant
surprise for a hiker.
